Is the lens in front of the elevation turret intended to magnify the elevation markings? Who makes these?
Dusted off my H&W 25x47L the other day to adjust my load with some Peterson brass... and wow this gun just continues to impress me. I dialed up a couple tenths to keep my aiming point bullet free and well you can see the results.
Hobbs New Do.
The company that did the original work, reported they would pay for a complete refinish. So, though the finish was coming off, no issues with them. They stood behind their work. However, Mr. Brian Allen of ATeam is local and he could get it done much quicker, and he did. He also did a really nice job and I am really happy with the results.
Why Hobbs? I have two MPA chassis rifles in 6GT. Had to discern between the two. One has a gray finish so it is Rebel as in the Major Mosby’s calvary unit “The Gray Ghosts”. Since they fought for the confederacy thus “Rebels” as the CSA was often called. Hobbs had a tiger stripe finish so being a tiger, he is related to the cartoon strip, Calvin and HOBBS. Hobbs being his stuff tiger / make believe friend. Thus, Hobbs.
Anyway, really happy with the way it turned out.
And of course Calvin and Hobbs

Yup I got this Advanced Tactical II for a decent deal. Owner told me it was a 308 when I bought it and it wasn't until I took it to the range that I found out it was really a 6.5 Creedmoor. The previous owner bought it from an old man who supposedly only put a couple boxes down the barrel and then sold it to this guy who never shot it who then sold it to me.

280 Remington by douglas barrels, on a Remington. This thing has been a pain in the ass. Dual duty lr/still hunting rifle. See what it does in a few weeks. Wearing a spare mk 4, while building funds back up.

Sweet. Literally! If that’s a PR 2 reticle, what are thoughts on it? I have a good discount on one but it requires to me sell my gen 2 razor 4.5-27 first in order to make the switch. Fellow vortex users are not keen on that move.

It’s great the way it sits! If it were mine I would do the barreled action in tan/brown but I’m weird like that.
I personally love the PR2. I think its the best reticle as far as usability without being overly cluttered. I sold my Gen 3 razor and bought a second mk5. The razor is a good scope, better FOV, good glass, but the mk5 for the money is a better option in my opinion.
Thx. I run the tremor 3. Thought it would beneficial to me starting out. Wrong. It’s cluttered and while I’m working to improve NPA and spotting misses, it’s too cluttered and I don’t use its features. Ever.
Yea I personally hate those reticles and dont find them as usable as some people claim. They seem like more of a "status" or cult like following now more than anything.
I have the PR1 and got rid of the PR2. I like the simplicity. They are both good pending your needs FYI my opinion
For sure, I really like the PR3 and I wish they would put it in the mk5.
Is get the pr3 vs pr1 if someone wanted to swap. But otherwise pr1 is good for me. Léopold…. Seems to be a little bit of thenunderdog
