My Barret MRAD at the COSSA "Buffalo Range" on Thursday where I stretched the 6.5 barrel out to 1,400 yards. Central Oregon is an amazing place to shoot, and the COSSA range is the best of the best. I also have MRAD barrels in .300 WinMag, .308 Win, and .338 Lapua. But this session was with my three 6.5 Creedmoor rifles to determine which one I was going to sell. The problem is that all three were super accurate and fun to shoot (MRAD, Tikka T3x TAC A1, and LWRCI REPR). Decided to keep them all. BTW ... the Lyman rubber pad and the Atlas bipod spikes is a great bench-shooting combination for avoiding "muzzle movement" ... first attempt with this and spotting misses was super easy. The real test is this combo with the .338 barrel .... next time.

Sierra 142 SMK, F210M, 42.3 H4350, in Lapua brass @ 2.8650" 2,850 f/s shot prone @ 377 yards (1.20" 3 shot group .320" MOA). I bought the gun used this month so I'm not wanting to hammer too many rounds down the barrel since I have no idea how many have already gone down it? I do plan on competing with it though next year.

Who uses Abe Lincoln as a target?

I know these have been done before; however, I just built this one up today for our PRS style comps we are starting to have here Down Under.
It is a Remington 700 SPS Tactical AAC-SD 20in 1:10 .308 Win in a KRG X-Ray chassis with a Nightforce NXS 5-25x56 Mil-dot (it is the same scope and rings from my post above on my 300) with a LaRue 20 MOA rail and a Harris bipod (Swivel and notched legs). I still want a couple of other parts for it, but for now this is how it stands.

Why the 1 in 10??? My rifle has a 26" bull with 1 in 11.25. Shoots one slightly ragged whole at 200 yards.

How does that rifle equate to the poors version? Looks pretty slick to me. Plus I don't think I've seen many in the poors class with a $200 tax stamp can.
It ain’t no fancy Noveske that automatically makes your pecker grow 3” longer. It’s nothing special the barrels a 18” Ballistic Advantage, I shoot 75gr BTHP on CFE223

This probably doesn’t fit into the poors category either since it has a Shilen barrel and Trijicon glass... but it was only $275 before we started dinkin around with it!

Freedom Rifle a lot of us trapped behind enemy lines can only dream about having a can for our rifles, hard to believe we live in the same Country...
Pretty stupid we can’t easily protect hearing and keep down noise pollution. If my truck had no muffler I’d probably get a ticket

I'm more of a does it work than run it kind of guy and less of a what does it say on the side of the receiver. There's probably a difference in parts that we chose but on the whole your's looks very similar to mine as far as base rifle goes. One of mine is a rebuilt S&W M&P Sport II and the other is a complete Frankenrifle. Both are great rifles that I wouldn't trade for 3 Noveskes.

I prefer my frankenrifles honestly, hard to beat Aero upper/lowers for the money and a BA barrel. Obviously there’s better stuff but it works for my budget. My rifle is Aero upper with a lower out of north Texas a small shop made. I see you’re also a BCM KMR whore, it’s the only forend I buy they just feel good.

Hi everyone. New here and happy to post my new rifle. Savage 110 Precision Elite in 6.5 Creedmore. It has Burris rings and an Athlon Ares scope 4.5-27 x50. I am taking it out this weekend to see how it shoots. Any tips on breaking it in?

Welcome!

Run a dry patch or boresnake down the bore and then go shoot it. Also a good idea to make sure everything is torqued properly first.

Wise words from TheGerman.
