When CA furloughed its employees back in the day all the major banks accepted vouchers and people got paid. The banks got their money after the budget crisis ended. Thats probably being worked out right now.
Demcoraps want this to continue, so when a major event happens, and all services are inactive, they can blame republicants! I hope it ends in 2050!
I think they want to make it the longest shutdown ever, so they can make that their campaign/fundraising slogan through mid terms.
