Thinking on "selling the farm" for one, or at least getting rid of the Leupold Mark 4. I'm kinda partial to the PR line?
Where can you view the reticules?

Re: Preimier Reticle or S&B

mildot326,

the single turn turret offers 22 or 15 MILs in one revolution depending on which model you choose (22 MIL ST only available for the 3-15x model). The turret has a zero stop that you won't have to adjust, it just stops ~0.5 Mils below the marked zero on the turret, so you just sight in your rifle, zero the turret (no tools required using the LeverLock) and you're done.

The Double turn has 15 MILs of elevation in one revolution, but you can keep on turning into a second revolution, with an indicator button popping out at the base of the turret so there is a visual and tactile indication that you are on the second revolution. There also is a second set of numbers above the first row for the second revolution. Overall available elevation in this configuration (provided an appropriately canted base is used) is about 27 MILs. The DT turret also features a zero stop just like the ST version. If you choose the MTC feature, you can just dial all the way down until you hit the zero stop and dial back until the first heavy click and you're zeroed, while at the same time having the ability to dial a couple of clicks below zero for correcting minor shifts of POI without rezeroing the knobs.

There's avideo on youtube that describes the function of the DT turret and MTC far better than words:

You can see the reticle in the video below at 3:26 and the illumination at 4:23...

Re: Preimier Reticle or S&B

I'm looking at the 5X25 model, I have a seller with one that is near new. Would that be too much scope for say my AICS build in .223? I also have a Savage 10FLP in .308 that it may go on as well.

If it is what you want, slap it on and go! The AICS isn't going to be small or light no matter what you do. Use pict. rails on both rifles and it is fairly painless to transfer the scope between rifles.

Re: Preimier Reticle or S&B

Thanks, I've read through alot of threads on scopes on this site.Thought about the S&B and the PRH, and the BORS system to use with my Leupold.I've used Leupold and Nightforce. This time the PRH is want I'm really looking for.Sticking with the Mildot reticle and the old math.I have a chance to get an 8X25 at a great price, I'm going for it!!
Thanks to all the troops who "chimed in".The feedback helps, along with the video links.

Re: Preimier Reticle or S&B

For me the premier Is a once in a lifetime scope purchase bi don't know if I'll ever have 3k for a scope again in the future. So I move the damn thing to any gun I can. Makes the quick adjust zero well worth it to me.

Those are my exact feelings as well.

Re: Preimier Reticle or S&B

Nobody ever mentions this, but the Premier doesn't tunnel. The S&B does. I hate the tunneling, and its nice to not have the FOV get bigger the whole way down the magnification range.

Re: Preimier Reticle or S&B

I'm using the ISnipe software and its asks me for a reticle type?
I have the 5X25 Premier with the Gen 2 XR reticle, so which of these is the closest?

(a)Army 3.375 MOA
(b)USMC 3.438 MOA
