Can someone tell me where I can see a picture of the latest and greatest parallax markings on a Premier Heritage scope. Or if someone can snap a picture of the parallax markings on their scope it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know myself, but if all else fails:

Premier Reticles Contacts

I'm sure if you call or e-mail them you can get a correct answer.

Re: Premier Heritage parallax markings

I've played with one that is 1 month old. The marking is a triangle that gets larger when you turn it forward for farther distances. There are no yardage markings on it at all. Pretty close to useless IMHO.

Re: Premier Heritage parallax markings

I was taught to dial the parallax knob until the reticle looks plastered on the target, then to confirm by moving my head slightly side to side. If the reticle doesn't move off the target, the scope is parallax free for that distance.

All that is done without ever looking at the knob. So even with scopes that have markings I don't bother. I've also found that some scopes can appear to be both in focus and parallax-free and while the markings indicate a range like 650 yards, an LRF gives a reading of 700. That's more error in a range estimate than I care for.

That said, maybe Premier should just use numbers. Those of us who don't care can go on doing what we do and those who need the confirmation (such as it is) will be happy.

One mark placed in the middle of usable range on the knob using a paint pen can serve as a reference point if desired. It can be removed with alcohol if necessary.

Yep, reference points were all I was concerned with.
I know how to adjust for parallax.

There are none.

Looks like I'll have to whip out my handy-dandy little silver ultra-fine point Sharpie, and proceed to customize a new scope!
