i would think the larue would be a bit high as they are about 1.5" above rail as opposed to rings that are ~0.87 depending on height.
i am in the same situation and i have pretty much decided to go with good bases and a set of seekins rings. i will also get a borka torque wrench set and torque to same spec each time when moving optic. this should keep me close and a shot or 2 to verify / tweek zero. I will record the zero shift from one rifle to the other so i can adjust after moving the optic to get me close to zeroed each time.
