I have a box of 100 .308 of which a representative sample seems very consistent in head space ( 0.002" +/- 0.0005" less than the measured rifle head space), and case length (2.007" +/- 0.0005"), the primer holes are not burred or flapped and the mouth even seems to have a slight inside chamfer. How much case prep is necessary for new Lapua brass. I am loading for accuracy with a Ruger 77, 24" heavy barrel, glass bedded, 6-20x40 Leupold. It was originally configured by the previous owner for silhouette, but I fancy using it for 200-300 yard deer.
