Is anyone currently re-barreling pressed fit rifles? If not is it common practice to thread the muzzle of a pressed fit barrel while the gun is still fully assembled?

Re: Pressed Fit Barrels and threading the muzzle

What sort of rifle? I know there was a shop in Arizona that would tread barrels on HK stuff with the receiver still attached.

If a Steyr Bolt gun, then yes, no problems threading the barrel while in receiver. SOme rifles and subguns like the Hk series need barrel removal in most cases as the Cocking tube gets in the way.

Steyr SSG's are no problems we have shortened them and threaded them no problems mught be best that you be specific if you want to ask a Question.
