Primers vs Match Grade Primers

Noob here, how much of a difference to match grade primers make over "regular" primers?

Usually just consistency is a bit better. In most applications, you'll never notice the difference.

I did an experiment a while back comparing regular CCI Lg Rifle primers to Match CCI Lg Rifle primers. My velocity was more consistent with the regular primers. Maybe lot number has something to do with it?
