Today at the range, after zeroing my rifle, I wanted to adjust the turrets so that the zero mark would coincide with the line.
After removing the set screw, and aligning the zero on the knob with the vertical line on base, I had to spend about 15 minutes putting the set screw in, so that the turret would start picking up clicks.
I had the same issue with the windage knob
The scope is Mk 4 6.5-20 FFP with M5 turrets.
Is there a "trick" to doing this?

Thanks.

on mine, i just barely loosen the set screw and that allows it to rotate freely, then tighten back. you dont have to pull the turret out or anything. just take the pressure off and turn.

what bobo says! set screw is just a friction lock. Loosen a hair to turn turret then tighten down carefully while holding turret to keep from moving
