I have an Aimpoint Comp ML 2 on one of my M-4's. It has the A.R.M.S.-17 Tri-Lock {also says Comp II M68} mount. The Aimpoint and mount will move in relation to the upper receiver when the mount arm is locked and I grab it with my hand and try to move it around. The two screws in the bottom of the mount are tight. The mount is not getting snug to the receiver. Other mounts have no trouble on this upper so I don't believe it is out of spec. Is there a way to tighten this mount??? Thanks in advance for any info.

In my experience, arms mounts are junk. You cannot make adjustments to them, and they are made out of cheap metal that resembles concrete. I stripped my screws on a bunch of them almost effortlessly. Just junk the mount and get a larue or american defense mount. A few years back, larue was trading their mounts for arms mounts straight up, no questions asked. I traded in about a half dozen of them for new larue mounts.

Thanks for the info...I remember seeing A.R.M.S. mounts for sale on different forums and it seemed like they would always sell hot, I guess I took it for granted that they were at least half way decent stuff. I never studied the things, but never thought they were such junk either. But I agree you are right, and having one that don't work right is all the proof I need. Thanks again for the info.

An ARMS H&K claw mount on my SR9TC almost drove me crazy ring to get decent groups. The mount seemed to lock up tight but groups were horrendous. I was using a USO ST 10 scope and thought it was the scope. Tried it on another rifle no problem getting 1 moa groups. Switched the ARMS mount to an MFI low profile mount put the scope back on and the SR9TC was shooting just over 1 moa groups.
