Problem with Badger IMUNS nv rail

I went to put my barreled action in my new AIAT chassis and my barrel touches the bottom of the IMUNS. The barrel profile is heavy varmint. I wish Badger would have listed the barrel profiles that will work with the system. Do you think I would hurt anything if I ground out material from the inside bottom piece and repainted it?

Send it to your gunsmith and have him open it up. Ive done this before.

I'm thinking about getting a standing drum bit and doing it myself. But first I may call Mile High and see if they can do it.

I see your rifle is a LRI..I bet he could do it like nothing and refinished.

Yeah they make one for the silenced ai rifle that fits heavy barrels better.

I just spoke to Mile High and they were saying Badger makes one with a larger diameter hole. I sent them some pics so I'll see what they say but LRI is a good option too if I need opened up

The guy at Mile High said I need the AI nv bracket and it would work so I'm going to try that one

Looks like not a barrel contour problem but a not barrel centered problem. top has plenty of clearance from the looks of it
