First time trying berger hybrids. I check each cartridge O.A.L. after i seat the bullet. MY C.O.A.L. varies by 20 thousands. I checked the length of the bullets prior to loading and they only vary by 2 thousands. What gives? Im at a loss.

Maybe need the vld seating stem as the hybrids are too pointy to seat off a portion of the bullet like "the ogive", maybe your stem is seating off the actual tip. Or there is variance in your neck tension causing stickage. Just a thought.

Base to ogive is a much better way to measure for seating depth, as already mentioned. You need a VLD seating stem to seat those long tapered bullets properly.

Are you compressing your load? If so, you can get problems with seating depth consistency. Also, try lightly lubing the bearing surface of your bullets with imperial sizing wax. That has helped me with consistency.
