The problem is not that they don't shoot well, it is that their trajectory is ..lets say less than flat out to 600.
I ran out of elevation on my Leupold 4x12, so I shimmed the rear Leupold base with .021.
Can I shim the base more?
Impact is still 5 prairie dogs (steel ones) at the bottom of the duplex reticle. Load is 8 inches high at 100. Time for a 20 MOA base?? load is 18 gr Re7 and a 220 gr Lyman 311284.
At such a low velocity their trace can been seen by the shooter's spotter.
Thanks
