I pulled my rifle out of my bag to check everything out before going out to the desert to shoot. I look through my Falcon Menace 4-14 FFP and see what appears to be some kind of liquid on the lens. So I tried to wipe it off but its on the inside! It is on the same lens as the reticle. Looks like some sort of lubricant and its never been exposed to water. What can I do?

Where did you buy it? If I'm not mistaken, Falcon handles warranty work through their dealers. Call them for instructions.

p.s. what kind of bag? I don't have reason to think it's related, but I never leave my rifles in gun cases, have had issues w/ rust. Unless it's in a treated gun sack.

I keep mine in my safe with a dessicant.

Re: Problem with my Falcon, need help.

I'd ask anyway. Those scopes have a 5 yr. warranty IIRC and they haven't been in existence 5 yrs. Contact Robert at RWS (member here) or Matt at Wonder's Optics and ask if anything can be done (they both carry Falcon). Both have excellent CS.

The warranty may not technically transfer, but some companies (not many) fall over themselves to keep customers happy. Good luck.

p.s. let us know how this turns out
