I have had the same problem twice now. After i shoot this rifle (shoots great by the way) i take it back out in like a month or so and it will be shooting high right about 12" high right at 150 yds. The first time this happend I thought it might of happend when it kinda fell out my truck onto soft dirt/grass surface. it didnt hit hard at all. So I made sure everything was tight then shot it again, worked great. I shot it again recently and it was off again.

The rifle is a savage 10fp with hs stock. I dont know the brand of mount, but it has burris rings. I have a torque wrench and everything has been torqued to spec.

I have never had a problem one it is zeroed taking the scope out to 550 yrds and back to 100 with the dials.

any ideas guys?

Not sure what your problem is, but oddly enough one full turn of a 6500 Turret is 12". As your dialing around, are you sure you coming back to the zero mark? Or maybe a varmint youngin' that like to turn dials when daddy's not looking? Mischievous shooting buddies? Just thinking out loud here.

If it's not any of that, and your action screws are tightened correctly, then you don't need a gunsmith, but an exorcist might help.

Recommend you sacrifice one live chicken, and mumble the appropriate incantations.....and hope for a cure.
