Dicks had their exclusive Savage Rimfire's on sale this week. My friends wife is a manager at the store and I walked out with this model for $190!

Savage 93VXP 22Mag, Accu trigger, Fluted bull barrel, OD stock, came with a cheap scope that will not be mounted.

Plans: replace the factory 2 piece weaver mounts with a EGW or DIP Picatinny Rail 1 Piece Scope Mount (20MOA), Still not sure about the stock, may send the factory back to Savage and have them stiffen it, Glass... Still up in the air yet, but I will update as I go along with the build.

Thanks, they had to transfer this one from another store. Dicks is short on the 22Mags in this configuration, plenty of 22LR and 17HMR's to go around.

Looks great.

Get you a tacticool stock. They're awesome.

Just put the DIP rail on mine but haven't had a chance to sight it back in yet.

Love those Savage rimfires.

Here's the finished build. Went with the DIP scope mount, Sightron 3x9x40 (scope covers will be taken off), and Weaver Quad lock rings. Now the rage report to follow hopefully this weekend.

Thanks!

I haven't really got to personal with the scope yet to give an honest opinion. Weather isn't looking in my favor for this weekend, but I really want to get range time with it.

Will update with target pics, I have 900 rounds of various 22mag, something will work.

I'm very happy with the Savage. My old Marlin didn't do this good and that rifle only liked the expensive Rem 33gr., but was very inconsistent at times. The savage likes various ammo and I'm looking forward to getting some field work out of it with groundhogs.

The Sightron SI scope has very clear glass, but when I compare it to a Nikon Pro Staff, the Pro staff has a little better eye relief and a little better FOV when turned up, but the Sightron was brighter. Im very happy with the Sightron and would recommend them.
