OK played out like this. I spent all day trying to stalk into handgun range. At 3pm we drove to a real hilly pasture were I picked up my MK4 binos and my 300RUM. (also bought the 300 rum on the Hide). 418 yrds about 20 deg. down angle 18-20 mph 4oclock wind. Broke him like hillbilly showershoe. I was a hunt we could have filled 10 tags 14inch or better by lunch. this one would have made book if I used a handgun he was just under 17inch. Oh yea Wy. is COLD about 10deg. at time the pic was taken. Oh if you have to skin a frozen prong horn get some of those cotton cheap gloves with the rubber on the fingers and palms. They sell them at the gas stations for 2.99 a pair, you will thank me. It was late and we left 4 hanging overnight they were harder then a cat terd the next

Re: Prong horn -v- 300RUM

ya'll just leave the guts there or do you have to pick em up by hand and haul 'em off? I try to stay clean as possible gut em where they lay and let the yotes clean it up.

Re: Prong horn -v- 300RUM

The Man that owns the ranch said leave them. we asked for a gut bucket. He said they will freeze solid, He pics them up with the flontend loader and dumps them. there was a big pile next to the rack from the group before us.
