Proof barrel question

Looking to put my surgeon remedy 338 on a diet, manly replace the truck axle with a carbon barrel, but on proof's site they only list one barrel shank size and from what I understand the surgeon xl action needs a bigger barrel, does anyone know if they make them or if another company does?

They should have no problem, they did a barrel for my Surgeon, it was a short action but no issue.

They should be able to do it, give them a call and talk to Greg Hamilton

I talked to them today and they only make one barrel in 338 with a 1.35 shank and its only in a 28 inch length, with more exposed metal at the muzzle, they said they were made specifically for AI rifles

1.250" shank with 1.125" threads is going to give a best-case 0.0625" shoulder.... Kind of skimpy for a chamber-end shoulder I think. Would maybe probably work but... Too close for comfort for this guy.
