Not happy with the 30 Nosler? I was tossing up building one or a 300PRC as my long range build, pretty much the same as yours except using a lone peak fuzion and a 28” proof.

I like the 30 Nosler. Been using one type of powder. Just switched with good results. Pulling seating depth now. Load development is not completed. It shoots like a 308 in terms of recoil. I know nothing about a 300 PRC.

What powders? I am considering a 30Nos for my next build unles some decent 300PRC brass comes to the market.

Bighorn TL3 and Manners elite MCS-T
What did it end up weighing Gledeasy? I had a 6.5 SAUM built on a SR3 with a 3B for dad in an MCS-T and we topped it with a V6. It's right at 9lbs but with the can and bipod it's 11. He's not super stoked about the weight i wish i would've gone with a sendero lite.

Also coming soon..should be around 12lbs with can and bipod.

Any of you guys running these in PRS or NRL matches or just hunting rigs? I was contemplating a 6mm CF for matches and hunting, a sort of “do it all” rifle, if there is such a thing. Just wondering how the felt recoil and muzzle rise compares to stainless counterparts.

I really think the only obstacle with running these in matches would be the increased cost of rebarreling each time if running hotter barrel burners with short barrel lifes. The light weight can also be a disadvantage in matches depending on how you look at it. I run proof carbon on a couple rifles. However not on any competition type rifles. But it really comes down to preference like most things. But if money isn't an issue give it a shot! I personally will stick to steel on comp guns though and leave the carbon to my packing around guns.

Mine isn't really lightweight either. As pictured with bipod and mag it's 10.75 pounds. It's topped with a NF ATACR in Murphy Precision titanium rings. Without bipod and mag it's 9.5 pounds.

Anyone know where I could find a 30 cal, 1;9 twist 28” carbon blank.

Looking now, Can’t seem to find any this morning.
