Proof "Heavy Competition" contour?

I was just looking at Proof's site and saw they added "Heavy Competiton" contour barrels for Zermatt actions. They don't seem to have diagrams up or weights listed yet. Anyone know anything about these?

I have two of them for my AI AT.

One in 308 and the other in 6.5 CM. They are definitely shooters. They are as accurate as my Bartlein or Krieger barrels. They are heavier than my MTU contour barrels.

I highly recommend them.

I have a Proof SS in 6CM for my AI as well, not a heavy contour though.

They're heavy pigs. They taper, but not much.

For guys like me that would rather balance with barrel weight than bolt on weights they're great. If you have $400 in chassis weights you might find yourself pulling some off.

I pre-ordered a couple from Front Range Precision (but was told not to expect them until the end of September).

FWIW, I’m in a situation with my particular rig (Manners TCS) where I dig it, but an additional pound or so up front is what I’ve been wishing for and about the only thing I want to try as far as tweaking the setup (with really no other way to add it otherwise besides installing a truck axle).

I’m already sitting on a new “regular” Competition contour too that I won’t have any problem running if I have to, as the Proof Comp contour has been working for me and is already probably stout enough for most.

I just emailed them inquiring about them and they had me put down $100 per barrel… we’ll settle up when they show up.

Same here but 6.5creed. It is identical contour to old school AI, not the newer hvy palma/mtu AI profile.

Josh at PVA offers his Osprey prefits in this contour. I got a 6BRA barrel from him and feel it’s weighted perfectly. Will buy all future barrels like this.

They have that in stock. It is listed at the bottom of the right-hand side. It is a 10-twist, 28" version.

These are NOT prefit barrels. They are blanks. You will need to send the blank to a gunsmith to be chambered and threaded for your Origin action.

Our conversation here was referring to the new SKU# 146804 that proof has released for an Origin prefit 26” heavy competition contour .308 10T. I’m not looking for a barrel blank nor is the OP.
