Great unfired new rifle

Initially, it was bought from Proof Research in .308 caliber.
Sent to Proof research for action change and rebarreling to 6.5 Creedmoor.

This rifle has several rounds shot by Proof Research for testing purposes before sending it back.
Consider it new except for a stock which comes from previous .308 package.

correct me if i'm wrong.. These are 20 TPI actions so you can use pre-fit barrels with a nut?
I just called Proof about your question and was told that you cannot use Savage style barrels on it. But you can easily install a Remage barrel which is a combination of Rem700 and Savage style with barrel nut. But again you have to adjust a Proof stock for that since the barrel nut will touch it.
