I will be getting in my first batch of Match ammo today. What do i need to do between different ammo. I bought a bore snake and i figured that I would start off by running it through a few times and then again after i test with 50 rounds or so of each.

Thanks

All copper and fouling should be removed going from one brand of ammo to another. Same thing with reloads and different powder and bullet manufacturers. Of course you'll have to foul your barrel with a few sighters on a squeeky clean barrel. It's the best way to get unclouded results. Bore snake alone won't do it.

Testing off a clean barrel keeps everything equal and your results will be duplicatable once you find the best load. Like I said you may need a few fouling shots but hey you'll need to know how it shoots off a clean barrel sooner or later any how.
