Since the entire entertainment industry in this country seems slavishly enamored of Socialists and constantly demands a Socialist / Communist dictatorship in our country, I thought this would be perfectly ironic:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...salaries-crack-money-worship-tax-evasion.html

    Great statements such as:

"Additionally, these problems have led to money-worshipping values, distorted social values and misled younger generations,' the notice said, adding that China's youth have been encouraged to 'blindly chase stars'."

Sometimes you wonder if perhaps the Chinese Communists are on to something when it comes to protecting their society from out of control Social Media & Celebrities HA!

I believe many of Hollyweird's elite who preach and praise socialism only do it for the attention whoring, that they really don't believe in it but it's the culture of the A listers so they continue just to keep their names on the top of the headlines and their photos on TMZ. None of them are donating 98% of their post tax earnings to the poor and living in a typical middle class 3/2 home and an '07 Accord out front parked streetside, nor are they donating their money to their local governments for redistribution as a good little commie would. Their hypocrisy is always deafening, but people ignore it because they play a good role folks like and there is a never ending obsession with celebrity status where their favorites can do no wrong. The recent De Niro thread here in the Pit is a perfect example of that.

For these Chinese film stars? I foresee more than a few defecting for Hollywood, wouldn't be the first time.

Sounds like elected for life Xi may be planning a cultural revolution.
First place to crack down is pop culture.
    This is not good.
    Stand by.

Something most of these SJW, Progressive and "Liberal" types that love Socialism and Communism so much fail to grasp is that once established, most Communist and hard Socialist regimes tend to be exceptionally "Conservative" when it comes to "Morals" and "Social Order" and of course "speech". Fringe types, malcontents, people that speak up, people that don't conform are not tolerated much.

I think perhaps the party feels the leash got slipped a bit too much and it's time to tighten up control and remind all the "entertainers" that they can only "entertain" by permission of the government.

Can we let Gary Sinise and James Woods decide who to ship out of Hollywood?

I'll be okay with who they let stay.
    And Eastwood.

Wonder if they'll tighten the leash with a Tiananmen Square knot?

    You describe DC.
