Just about finished with the first custom know design. Finished product won't have a step in the angle. Unless you like it. Any suggestions?

6061?

Personally, it's a little bulky for my tastes but I like the design a lot. I think it would be cool if you kept the design but took the OD down ~1/4" and put at least a 1/4" chamfer on the end so it's not such a sharp edge (and of course lost the step).

Love the knob. A straight taper down to the bolt handle root will be nice.

I thought someone had one exactly like this. It had the same ridges as a NF scope would have. I don't remember where I got it, but I had one on my 6.5-284.

I like the design but I would make it shorter. Depending on your stock... the length and diameter can create a knuckle buster.
