I put together an Anderson lower with a PSA rifle build kit . Stainless barrel 1:7 16" , midlength .223/5.56 , polished nickel plated trigger group . As I've seen posted here twice before I was having issues with the bolt catch working on the last round and also just staying open when manipulating the rifle . I changed the bolt catch and spring with a slight improvement only to have it revert back to the original problem . Being that I have worked as and am a machinist I stated looking at tolerances . Questioning stacked tolerances , the upper , the take down pin lugs etc . At one point I thought maybe the tolerances/geometry on the bcg . I was talking to some guys in work and one lent me his Nickel Boron bcg and turned out it worked . I was going to put it up on a comparator with my bolt and check them out side by side but just looking bye eye I could see a few differences in angles and the OAL . Another guy mentioned that Tool Craft makes bcg's for a lot of manufacturers so I checked them out and found one of their Nickel Born BCGs on Joe Bob Outfitters for $129 . got it in two days and Bam it's tits . Locks open , doesn't release the bolt dry firing or during reloading drills . I know it is a cheap set up but I thought that I would post my experience for anyone else having the same issue . I'll have to take some pics of how it shoots next time I'm at the range . For an inexpensive build it is retarded accurate with 62gn FGGM .
