FYI got to do some testing today regarding bent case rims. OCW testing, not depth testing.

    Setup
    6.5 Creedmoor JP LRP-07
Hornady Brass - some 1F in a gas gun that bent the rims and some 1F in a bolt gun in pristine shape
Full length sized in a Redding Die, Forster Press
    H4350
    2.800 seating depth
    CCI BR2 primer

    Results
During load dev 7 groups were shot with the 1F bent rim cases, and 7 groups shot with the regular cases.
These 7 groups with bent rims ranged from .58 for the hottest load to .07" for the 39 grain load.
The 7 pristine cased groups groups were .13 starting size at 39.0 grains, and .56 for the top end.

    Conclusion
Contrary to my initial assumptions, the bent rims had no effect I was able to discern on the accuracy of the ammunition. YMMV.

Thanks for the info. I was just looking for info on this topic as I accidentally bent some rims seating primers with my CO-AX press. My concern is headspace due to them being slightly lifted by the bent rim sections. I had bumped the shoulders a couple thousandths and they do chamber as is. I'm sure they'll fire fine, but will only be loading up a few to test and load my other cases for use.

Did the bends flatten out any after firing the 2nd time?
