How bad are the PSA uppers. Would 1.5 Moa be too much to ask. A buddy that doesn't shoot a lot is looking for a decent cheap railed upper. Thanks

A friend of mine went through a well I’m not sure what you would call it but he bought 6-7 of the PSA upsets for all the powers he was getting a gun shows. Needless to say just a few weeks ago I had the chance to shoot some of them and honestly accuracy was at best marginal. For the price I’d say you can’t really go wrong with them. At 100 yards with MBUS flip ups the best group I got was a little under an inch. But, that was only with 1 of them as for the other 5 or so they were all over an inch group at that range. So I would have to agree with the above comment given my short limited time with them.
The CHF version are from FN, the other nitride and phosphate are likely going to give only OK results. I would expect the SS barrels to give decent results.
Best group with the CHF 5.56. Aimpoint PRO 2 MOA red dot and 3x.

My experiences are with Jefe's. CHF is FN and provides good value. The SS barrels are not to BCM or Noveske oe Wilson standard but again good value. I have put together about a half dozen rifles using their uppers as truck guns and beaters with no issues from them. I always use their "premium" (not the lower value "freedom"... pay attention hete) stuff and I notice that they are starting to carry toolcraft bcgs. Can't go wrong there. Again the PSA uppers by and large are what you pay for them. Not the best, not the worst but in my experience a decent value.
I'll also add a buddy picked up a .223 Wylde 18 inch SPR style upper and was shooting .5 to 1 MOA with some random factory 55 grain ammo
