Second, if you buy a microwave oven from wal-mart, take it home and find it doesn't work, do you call the manufacture and give them a chance to "make it right"? Or do you take it back to wally world and say "This POS doesn't work" and either get a refund or exchange for an identical make and model.
My money is on the latter. I am also willing to bet that most of you would also NOT choose an exchange of an identical make/model.
So, what the fuck is the difference? I mean. besides the fact that some of you seem to have some emotional attachment here.

I think there is a difference between buying something at Walmart and buying from a quality firearms manufacturer whether it's a scope, gun , bipod or just about anything else. The difference is that many of these companies are actively on SH answering questions, sponsoring and supporting this forum and shooters like us.
They have names, contacts and a way to PM them anytime we like to help us out.
Now give me a microwave company you can say the same thing about and I'll agree with you.
In everyday life its easy to go the bring it back to Walmart route because you don't know anything about the company or its people so there's no reason to go that route. In this industry thankfully there is a difference, The manufacturer has a name to help you out and they do care that your happy. </div></div>
To add to that, I'm 100% for supporting the vendors on here that have taken time out of their busy day to get OUR feedback and answer OUR questions or help with OUR issues.
Most, if not all, of the vendors here consistently bend over backwards to help any member here and they always treat every customer like family. They ask for opinions, they value our feedback, and most of all, they listen. We owe it to these guys to give them a fair shot instead of this one-and-done nonsense.
I went on this tangent because I've seen Scott from Vortex jump into numerous threads to answer questions, confirm specs, post photos, gauge reactions, give us updates, etc. He personally may not be an official vendor but he does a bang up job. Not fair to just turn your back on someone like that at the drop of a hat.
