Can someone give me the correct height for the front and rear pillars for PT&G bottom metal to feed AICS mags well?

    Remington 700 style receiver.
Assume that the pillars will be touching the bottom of the receiver and top of the bottom metal.

    Thanks.

Keep in mind this is a relevant dimension. Mock it up with action out of the stock first. Set it up so that you can see the top of the primer pocket tangent to the bottom of the receiver bore. An "upside down figure 8" is what it would resemble.

Then just double check to make sure the feed lips aren't fighting with the bolt body as you cycle it. Get it there and you'll have a setup that runs to expectation.

measure twice and then twice more mock it up every thing bolted to the rcvr but the stock try the fits see if it will cycle properly take your time on the pillars size them long and work down too the point that the weapon cycles to your liking when all that is done measure every thing again then mount the stock in the milling machine measure twice again then go to work fit again measure again check that it cycles to your liking about then your done do not push it take your time. here is one surgeon bottom metal
