Pull weight on standard issue (M24, M40) rifles?

I know this must vary a great deal, but I was wondering for those who've carried them, what are trigger weights generally set at for the standard issue precision rifles? Is 3-5lbs. a fairly accurate range?

I'm looking carefully at my 700P with upgrades in mind, and wanted to get a base benchmark. I may go lighter, obviously, but was always curious about this.

Thanks.

Re: Pull weight on standard issue (M24, M40) rifles?

IIRC George @ GAP posted Armourer specs for the M40A1 and triggers were set to 2.5#. I am on dialup and ain't gonna look but it may very well be in the M40A1 thread.

From current M40A3/A5 TM 05539-IN:
"B. Minimum trigger weight is 3 lb. Maximum weight is 5 lb."
