I'm leaving Oct. 7th for Colorado on my very first elk hunt. Either of those 2 bulls would work!!!!!!!!

Rut is on in California too. Just got back from Tule Elk country and spotted some massive bulls. Guide thinks one might be a new world record. Still not as impressive as those Rocky Mtn. Elk though.

I leave Oct 30th too. My buddy finally drew a bull permit this year. I hope he can find one. Either one of those would do just fine.

Great pictures!! Sure wish that I was going Elk hunting this year. A friend of mine sent me a cell phone picture of a nice bull he took with his bow in southern Colorado a few days ago. He said that it came right in to his cow call.
