Im not sure if any of you are familiar with Pure Kustoms Holsters in Arizona. Rocky is the owner and is one stand up guy and his customer service is second to none. He sent me some pictures of a black ops pro holster he made for me for my Springfield 1911 EMP. I sent him a pic of my GSD and let him do whatever he thought looked best, and all I can say is that he does some AWESOME work.

Ill give a full review once I actually get it in hand.

The black ops pro is 175 shipped plus whatever type of tooling or artwork (if any desired). Keep in mind that the BOP holster is OWB and IWB, so you get two holsters in one.

Re: Pure Kustom Holsters (pic)

I received the holster a couple days ago and have been wearing it everyday since it came in the mail. I can honestly say that this is the most comfortable IWB holster I have used. The adjustment for IWB use is pretty much infinite. I sat through an 8 hour power point class (obviously with breaks) while using the holster IWB and it felt as if it were not even there.

The OWB is one position which I feel is perfectly fine (FBI cant). Im wearing it mainly on OWB so I can show it off to some of my K9 loving buddies, lol.

The holsters fit and finish is second to none, the leather is extremely stiff and not flimsy like other leather holster. The stitching is straight and close to the pistol. The leather IWB attachments are of quality pieces as well, stiff leather and straight stitching which should last an extremely long time.

The holster was a little tight at first, but after a few presentations from the holster it became super smooth to draw from and my presentations are on par as speed is concerned with a single retention kydex holster. Retention feels as if it were a kydex holster with the audible and tactile "click" when holstering. I flipped it upside down with a full mag and shook it up and down pretty hard and the pistol failed to release from the holster.

Lastly, Rockys art and leather work are simply amazing and his dedication to to quality craftsmanship shows in his work. I recommend his holsters to anyone looking for a superb quality holster for daily carry whether its for civilian ccw or plain clothes LE operations.

Re: Pure Kustom Holsters (pic)

The machine-like stitching and tooling quietly speak quality and care and are upstaged only by that amazing artwork. I have to keep doing double & triple takes. It looks like a cross between a photo and a painting somehow.

I have never heard of this guy and his shop, but had almost given up looking for leather holsters. This work makes me feel like I've been missing something.

Congrats on that fine piece of kit! Looking forward to the review.
