Im thinking about picking up one of them new fancy BCGs for my AR. Y'know, the shiny PVD'd/IonBonded silver or gold or copper BCGs? Just to try something fun.
Im looking specifically at Cryptic Coating's offering.
But I had a shiny silver NibX coated BCG in the last, and it got all stained up and pretty much turned grey/black after 1000 rounds, and i cant get it back to the shiny look it had when i got it.
Will these PVD'd BCGs stain the same way? If so, i feel it kinda defeats the point.
Any experience? Anyone with a PVD BCG does it still look as nice as when you got it?
