Night Vision PVS-27 dims after startup

Anyone have a pvs-27 drop to half brightness a few seconds after startup?

Sounds like 2 possible problems.

#1 The potentiometer is bad
#2 The power supply on the tube is bad



Does it do it in any condition or just higher ambient light conditions?

Low ambient light actually. It’s part of our giant pile of 27s so we were able to swap it out, but still annoying.
