I might have the opportunity to purchase the BNVD sentinal ANVIS-9. I can't decide if I want to buy them or the PVS-7. I know I'll get better depth perception with the ANVIS-9. Is that all I'd be getting? I'm not a millionare so if I can get roughly the same quality with the PVS-7 and save a little money Ill do that. But if I can't get the roughly the same ill go with the ANVIS 9!

Pvs-7's are what you get if that's all you can get. I have a lot if time behind 7's, 14's and anvis. Anvis are soooo nice! A pvs is versatile and great. 7's get the job done.... Not versatile at all, no depth perception and your blind when you flip them up. If your not gonna have depth perception you don't need both eyes blinded.

Surgeon is right on, why blind both eyes for no reason? And with a 14 you can weapon mount it too. And lighter than the 7's but over time you can get a MOD armory mount to wear both 14's and then split em up if you have to.

^Surgeon said it pretty well. My first exposure to gen 3 NODs was the AN/AVS-6's, so I am bias towards it's superior optics, however they weren't very sturdy (lots of wobble in the adjustments). If the Anvis goggles end up being out of your price range, I really recommend going with a PVS-14. It allows you to have one naked eye and the other with gen 3 night vision, best of both worlds.

Edit: Damn, RobertB beat me to it. :)

The sentinel is the model I'm talking about. I know the older PVS-7s were out of the question. I've seen some newer ones with gen3 tubes and that was mainly where my questions came from! Thanks guys! Now it's time to sell some glass!!

I hate 7's, and poor depth perception is just the start. It's like looking through a paper towel tube too, only with both eyes (VERY narrow FOV!). Just not a fan. I prefer the 14's for nearly the same cost.

TNVC makes their version of the Sentinel and it looks damn nice for the price. I wish I could swing one of those now.

GPNVG is the best IMO if you have the money. Wide FOV including vertical enhancement.

More power to ya if you can afford the GPNVGs, but are they available on the private market yet?
