I'm looking at getting new 30 mm rings. These will be used on a 223 bolt gun and possibly 6.5 mm CM. Are QD rings as solid as traditional rings with screws? I'd hate to have to deal with scope movement.
I ran a set or ARMS 22M for several years with no issues. Went between rifles and never had a problem. Have to make sure you load the rings the right direction when lock them on the rail. I don't use them anymore because I want to 34mm tubes. If you are interested let me know.
My point about a QD rail & rings, instead of just QD rings is that it stays in much better alignment.
My Larue mount is transferable between guns without too much trouble to re-zero. http://www.larue.com/larue-tactical-...scope-mount-qd
Same issue with Larue mounts, I runs several of those as well as an ADM. They all have a little play when you set them on the rail and need to be set forward before you swing the levers.

For tactical shooting Bobro mounts. I use them on most all of my scopes. I just sighted in a new Mark 6 and took it with my JP 223 to the NSFF fantasy camp. I had the scope on and off a dozen plus time. Easy to use and holds zero every time. Auto adjusts itself to fit super tight in the rail. And Andrew Bobro is a great guy.
