So I want to build the Liberty Leonidas. The .300BLK integral AR upper? So I have the lower built, I have the upper ready to send, I chose the carbon fiber rifle length PRI FF tube for the handguard, and I chose either the Noveske 8.2 or 8.5 inch barrel, or the Rainier Arms UltraMatch 8.5" barrel. Both barrels are out of stock indefinitely, and when in stock they go faster than I can get my hands on one.
But if anyone knows where to get one or has one for sale, well, I'm interested in that. Within reason. Cheaper than Diamonds has or had one Noveske, but it was, of course, $150 more than MSRP!
SO, anybody have any suggestions for barrels as good (or better) than these two? The Rainier barrel is made from a Shilen blank, FWIW. I'm okay with pretty much anything as long as it is quality and available now and meets the following specs:
1. Must be accurate.
2. Must operate/cycle flawlessly, always suppressed, with both subs and supers.
3. Must be 8.5" long, .750" dia. short gas block (approx. 1" long?) and threaded 5/8-24.
4. Must use regular pistol gas tube and cannot be fluted.
Essentially, it needs to be cut like the Rainier or Noveske barrel. I can't use a barrel that's not within these specs. I know there are lots of great barrel manufacturers out there, but I'm looking for one now and am not too picky as long as it's a good barrel, not a cheap one, and it meets these specs. Thanks for any ideas!
