I was able to spend some quality time with my new .308 bolt gun. When I first fired this rifle I couldn't figure out what was different about it but it dawned on me yesterday it has a single stage trigger and everything else I own is two stage. Its taking some getting used to but I think me and my new gun will get along fine.

300 yard target. Ammo is a Remanufactured by Atomic Ammo sold through the CMP a few years ago. I took an extra 30 seconds to go through the can and match headstamps which seems to have made a difference.

I usually shoot SR/MR type targets so without the Shoot N C the grouping on a 100 yard center are better understood by me. Cant do this with my 03A1 and irons.

20 shots all made paper. Of the two off the SnC one was part of the group of 4 in the SnC 7 ring. Two windage corrections followed. The one way left was up around shot 12/13 and was me sucking. The shot high in the 7 ring was taken after an hour pause while the sky broke open and it rained like a bastard. Im thinking the cold bore high 7 and the low 8 define my group and if I figure correctly that will put me about just over 1 MOA.

Old school Weaver K10, unfamiliar trigger, shooting off a pack rest, good but not great ammo - Im pretty happy and expect to be happier. Scoped bolt guns are fun.
