question about 6mm CM max effective distance

I have a question for the folks that have shot 6mm Creedmoor. I hope this is the correct forum section.

What is the effective range of this round? I'm only a paper puncher, so ability to take down a target isn't an issue. Hitting that target is. I assume it will go to 1200m .. will it go to 1500m ?

I'm interested, as well. I'm planning a 6mm XC build, which is very similar to 6mm CM. There's a thread I found of a guy who pushed his .243 Win to 1400yds with 95gr SMK's, so it shouldn't be too hard to get to 1500yds with 115 DTACS or something similar. I'd like to hear from someone with first hand information, though.

It will be the effective range of the shooter, more than the round.

It should keep a DTAC supersonic to 1300-1400 yards, if that is your criteria for the Max. Effective range.
