Re: Question about Berger bullets
The Berger vld's are the baddest bullet I have ever seen. I shoot the 168's out of my sps tactical (308) with lapua brass, rem 9 1/2 lr primer, 45.9 grains varget seated at 2.960 oal. Tack drivers out to 400 yards. I also shoot a .300 win mag 700 police using 72.7 r22, 210 vlds, rem brass, wlrm primers, with coal of 3.602". So far this season while using the 210 vlds, I have taken 2 does at 380 yards, another 11 pt at 415 yds, and another doe at 545 yds. The damage is incredible. All have dropped dead on the spot and the bullet actually sounds like a boat paddle whacking them. I made a Texas heart shot on a running doe at 115 yards and found her entire stomach laying beside her. I will never shoot another bullet when it comes to whacking deer at long range. Absolutely hooked on Berger
