I have a semi custom Remington LTR on the way. The work that has been done on it was done by APA. I am wanting to eventually have him true the action and put a Kreiger or Obermeyer barrel on it.

I am trying to determine the cost. Looking on APA's site, I am a bit confused because some of the work appears to be duplicated.

Here is what has been done so far.

-mount Badger bottom metal, pillar bed stock, skim bed stock, install Badger base, flute bolt and install Badger bolt knob, and Rifle Basix trigger.

Can anyone (Jared? :D) tell me what it will cost me to have a custom barrel installed and true the action? This should be a complete custom at that point. Would the action have to be re-bedded after the barrel/truing is done?

Here is the rifle package I have coming.

Re: Question about Patriot Arms (APA)

Actually he's got a new lathe and some new kid who apparently turns barrels like nobody's business so supposedly he's really catching up. Most things are just waiting on stocks or blanks, I think.

Give him a call, Jered loves to talk but Bill is the one who can give you a price estimate.

We are having a summit via PM now. Working out the details.

I am trying to decide what barrel to go with when I change, I just want it to be a mid weight barrel, only slightly heavier than the factory LTR tube.

Jered used a 7.5 Broughton contour on my build. It's not as heavy/ thick as say a M40 contour but it's not as thin as some of the varminter contours out there either.
