Assuming this is for a 700 type action?

the barrel will need to be threaded/chambered to fit the action, you'll want a thicker recoil lug than the factory standard, maybe add fluting, a muzzle break, some type of finish such as cerakote or duracote.

Yes and, What do you think about that barrel or should I just go for re chambering it to like a custom 260?

I like the barrel life of .308's but I like my 6.5mm more! Depending on how much shooting you'll be doing barrel can go fast compared to a .308.

I was just reading up and the 260 has a better ballistics rating than the 308... Or I was justing thinking about selling the 308 and buying a 338 AI AW
