Question about Surgeon DBM

I bought a McMillan a5 in letters for SA Surgeon bottom metal. Will any other bottom metal ( Badger, other DBMS ) fit the inletting close enough for an exact match ? Or is xyz DBM going to leave gaps and what not in the stock ? Thanks for the future input. I'd like a surgeon , I'm looking for one that's used.

Yes you will have gaps.

Correct, The typical M5/ clone inlet and the Surgeon Dbm inlets are different
and do not readily interchange.
