I was handed a couple boxes of Lapua 308 "match" ammo by a friend. Apparently the ammo had been in the basement for quite a while. One box was clean, but most of the rounds in this box has this crud around the case necks. The ammo was in Styrofoam inside cardboard. Some of the rounds also had this crud around the primer pocket.
Anyway my question is is this stuff shootable? can I clean it up and use it? How would you recommend cleaning it, steel wool? Brush?
Thanks,
Kevin
