i received my stamp today for my form 1. do i have to carry paperwork anytime i have the can out in the feild? i figured they would have sent a id card that had info on it. should i be expecting more paperwork? am i ok to start building my can with my app that has the tax stamp and is signed by atf?

Re: question--after you get your paperwork back

That form is it - keep it safe and make lots of photocopies.

Just don't use the automatic document feeder. The stamp can get ripped off by the machinery.

It is very smart to have a copy with the item at all times. Not strictly required, but can calm down a sitution if some idiot calls the police on you.

I keep copies in my gun cases. If I had an SBR with storage in the buttstock, I'd keep a copy there, too.

Yes, keep a copy of your form 1 with your suppressor at all times. In absence of this document you have no proof that you are not in illegal possession. Should you encounter law enforcement without your documentation, they will likely act on the prudent side causing you extra hassle and lost time.

Go to Kinko's have them laminate a miniature copy. Keep this in your gun case at all times, and make plenty of copies per the above post.

If you're not concerned with privacy, you have the option of scanning a copy and sending it to a gmail or other email account. This way you have access to it from any internet connected computer should all copies become lost or stolen.
