Question for TRG owners...

Hey guys, I'm not too familiar with the TRG platform so if this is a silly question I apologize in advance...

While looking at the TRG pic thread last night I noticed that a few rifles pictured had what appears to be a thumbwheel setup on the cheekpiece & buttplate, but a lot of the rifles do not. Is this a factory option, exclusive to certain models or an aftermarket accessory (or am I hallucinating)? I didn't see anything like it on Sako's website or several other sites that carry the rifles & accessories. Perhaps my Google-Fu is weak today...

I'd like to acquire a TRG42 in 300WM in the near future, and this is something I was curious about about before taking the plunge.

Thanks for any help!

Re: Question for TRG owners...

The thumbwheel on the buttstock is an aftermarket accessory made by a guy on here named Terje. I believe he is from Norway. I don't have his accessory, but people that do have it swear by it. It is a very nice looking piece of equipment.

Re: Question for TRG owners...

Hi!
Just for your information, the thumbwheel is only for making it easy to remove the cheekpiece and adjust the position of the buttplate.
It is not possible to adjust the height of the cheekpiece or length of of pull. That is done with spacers.
With that said, Its a very well made product and I love my setup.

Re: Question for TRG owners...

With a 42 and a 10mm spacer I have to remove cheek rest to remove the bolt, I don't on my 22 with 10mm spacer. The wheel would be nice on the 42 but no big deal on my 22 since I have not removed/moved CP once set.
