I'm not 100% sure but I think it was mostly long actions that were.

Pretty shure that both long and short actions were available with dbm's.

All 700 police models in 338 LAPUA have a dbm

Both do, just depends which model 700 you get.

Some of the older "Police" models did. I think I recall the LTR coming with it. I think I was told they discontinued it back then because it was a crappy design. I'm sure the newer ones are better.

Yes, some did both short and long. Some took some fiddeling with to get the correct feed angle to work well, but they lock up tight, flush bottom and feed well (not very large capacities 3-4rds)

had a couple on 700 SA - then went Seekins DBM

There were a bunch of various DBM 700's recently at Cabelas in Hamburg, PA. The gun guy said they were something new from Remington.
