I have my S&B in Badger rings on a 20 MOA badger rail. I want to to put a zero cant rail on the gun. Can I just undo the rings fro mthe base and leave the scope in there? WHen i mount the new base, i would just screw the rings on...??

Yes, assuming you are going picatinny to picatinny. You will need to rezero your optics/rifle, obviously.

yes i couldve gotten it dialed in but it was stretching the adjustments range

both were on the middle dot in between and i was still about 4" high @ 100 meters

The 0 MOA base will work perfectly for you. If you were shooting long range (800-1200 yds) the 20 MOA base would have been fine.
