Don't Laugh, Is a Standard Rem 700 LA with a .473 bolt face strong enough for a 30-338 Lapua, or would I have to have a Magnum Action? Someone told me this can be done and I truely don't know?
There is no "magnum" action made by Rem. You'll either need to get a new bolt or open the face up on yours. That's the same action the factory Rem 338 LM's are built on.
A custom big bore action makes most guys warm and fuzzy due to the increased bolt size.
